In Spanish,
Contar y Escribir means literally "to tell and to write". So, this is what
we do in this website: Telling and Writing!
This website
hosts a series of workshops on a unique type of creative writing: not creative
writing for literary purposes, but creative writing for expressive purposes.
This is a
very particular kind of expression: the expression of our soul's yearnings and
feelings!
These
workshops use a combination of ancient techniques for creation, relaxation,
visualization with new ways learned from my professional background in
languages, culture, translation and my personal experience with writing and consciousness.
We read poems,
short stories, myths and other pieces of texts aimed at inspiring us with a
higher vision of life and providing us with insight for self-reflection. And we
write personal diaries, letters, short stories, brief writing exercises, which
help and lead us into that process.
We hold online
workshops for adults and face-to-face workshops for children at schools. If you
understand enough Spanish as to follow the workshops' directions, you may enrol
since you are allowed to do your reading and writing in your
own
native language.
